Hi!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born in the year of 1976, on September, 20 in the town of Novosibirsk where I have lived all my life. My horoscope sign is Virgo.
In my childhood I was a naughty kid. I liked to play with my friends outside till late hours, explode stuff, put up a fire. In general I was like any normal child. We lived in a small town surrounded by woods on all four sides, and the river Ob was not so far away, so we never had a problem with my friends where to go to play. However I almost never ditched classes in school, although I could. Among the subjects taught in high school most of all I didn’t like exact and some natural sciences (math, geometry, physics and most of all I hated chemistry). It took me a lot of effort to do those subjects aside from the fact that I didn’t really want to study them at all. What I did like was drafting, biology and in the 11th grade I enjoyed subjects connected with economics. After high school I entered Siberian International Banking High School that later received a name of Siberian Finance and Banking University, where after 4 years of studies I received my diploma in BANKING BUSINESS. Along with that I graduated from Siberian State Geodetic Academy where I majored in FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING. After university I spent almost a year working in an investment trust where I was engaged in security purchase and sale. Besides I played at the stock in the futures agreement section. In 1998 I was offered a job in an GENERAL MOTORS official dealer, where I worked for 2 years as an analyst.
While working in GM I was fascinated by computer graphics. I explored Corel Draw, Photoshop on my own and later realized that computer graphics interested me much more than economics did, especially 3D. At the moment I work as a designer in one of Novosibirsk’s most massive advertisement newspaper "DOSKA OBYAVLENY" (BULLETIN BOARD). My favorite graphic programs are 3D Stubio MAX 3.1, Ulead Photoimpact 5.0, Corel Draw 9, Photoshop 5.5
MY MOUNATIN BIKES HOBBY
In the summer of 1999 I came up with some extra money and went shopping. Just wanted to buy something. At that time I didn’t even know that there were special bikes for mountain riding, cross-country, downhill etc. That day I got in one of sports stores and saw there road bikes produced in India that were called CATALYST. There was nothing fancy about them. The only thing that drew my attention was the frame, particularly its size and shape; and the handle bar. It was straight and sort of projected forward, unlike on traditional bikes we used to see. But most of all I liked the tires. They were a lot wider and had peculiar tread. Later I found out they were not the widest tires there could be. They size was 26x1.85”. besides the bikes cost less expensive than a Russian model. So it didn’t take me too long before I decided to buy it. Let alone the fact that my old bike had broken down. In a month after that I found out that there were special mountain bikes. In Internet I found detailed information about those bikes which brought that crazy idea to my mind to make a mountain bike out of my new road one. During a month and a half I was collecting money and buying parts in different places to do the upgrade. Finally when I had all the necessary components, through contact welding, with the help of wrenches and other available tools within a week I built my first mountain bike. That was one of the happiest days of my life. When I had that offspringwith happiness I was so overwhelmed of mine ready like a little child is happy to get a new toy. Later I replaced some of the parts with new and better ones: rear bush bearing made in China was destroyed in a month, rear cassette sprocket broke down in a month and a half. I replaced them with a rear bushing and a cassette sprocket of “Venture” production. I didn’t like the crankset and bottom bracket, which was assembled like on a regular bicycle (the driftpin was wedged. At that time I didn’t know about such things as tetra- and hexahedrons). So I had to spend a whole fortune to buy new filling for the carriage, which was at this time tetragonal and could be screwed inside the carriage completely. Plus I got a new crankset with AL crankarms "Hyperdrive" (I think Taiwan). Then I also had to buy a new rear derailleur (made in the Netherlands, about the same class as Shimano Tourney). I got a used one, so it didn’t even work a month. After all the replacements were done I ended up with a well equipped, light mountain bike of GT Palomar class. Since then wherever I went I was riding my bike and a long distance was not an obstacle to me (15-30 miles a day). I rode that bicycle during one season.
Next year my dream came true. I bought a full suspension "Jeep Comanche Classic".
